Quilting Civil War 150

I'm taking a break from my crafty projects to hand-quilt my civil war quilt (from last year's block-a-week by Barbara Brackman.). I would like to finish it by October when my guild has our quilt show. Very ambitious!

Fabric Bag

The sewing frenzy continues. I was looking through some old magazines, trying to find something quick to make and I happened upon this bag pattern by Edyta Sitar in the April 2011 issue of American Quilting and Patchwork.

To save time, I bought some pre-quilted fabric at JoAnn Fabrics and it turned out great.

Nine Patch: Work in Progress

Although I have 19 different quilts in the works, I got the urge to start a new one!

More Selvage Pincushions!

Husband is away and I am in a sewing frenzy. Little projects = instant gratification.

Selvage Pincushion

I have been saving selvages for a few years now and enjoy making small items using them. Here is a selvage pincushion I made. I sort my selvages by color and theme and store them in plastic bags. I stitch them directly onto a piece of batting using a zigzag stitch.

Sewing Carryall

A friend and I got together yesterday for an all-day sewing session. We each made a sewing carryall from a pattern by Terry Atkinson. Great fun!
