Cheddar Cheese and Crackers, Complete

When the cat's away, the Bernina will play! Last weekend, husband and son went skiing and I stayed home, not very reluctantly. I finished this little doll quilt top which took way longer than I expected and was much more challenging than I thought it would be. But a good challenge. Thank you, Lori, of Humble Quilts for providing the instructions. There were a couple bumps in the road. I ran out of one of the double pinks and had to rummage through my UFOs and was lucky enough to find the very same fabric. When I ran out of one of the blues, I dug through my wastebasket and pieced a tiny square just like they did in the olden days! I won't even mention how I messed up when arranging the blocks. Anyway, I love the result and will start quilting it this weekend.

  1. SWEET! It looks great and I love the idea of filling in fabric with a look a like. The maker did that quite a bit on the original. Have fun quilting it!!!
