Picnic Quilt

We returned from our trip on Sunday to gorgeous warm weather with magnolias and cherry trees blooming. Love this time of year in Washington! Just to get in the mood for spring and summer, here is a quilt I made recently which I call "Picnic Quilt." I started with a charm pack called Momma's Apron Strings and added 1930s reproduction fabrics from my stash. It is the easiest quilt you can make, all squares. I've always thought it would be fun to have a quilt to take on picnics or outdoor concerts so this is it!

  2. That may be an easy quilt but I LOVE IT. It does say PICNIC all over it. I love just sewing squares together. And the 1930's are some of my most favorite fabrics. Very pretty.
