Sometimes it's fun to make something that is not a quilt. This pincushion was a kit from
Fig Tree Quilts that I've had lying around since the fall. When my husband and son went away for a few days in March, I decided it was time to make it! It took me the better part of two afternoons but it was great fun. One of the tricky parts was what to stuff it with? After searching online, I discovered crushed walnut shells, also known as bird litter. Who knew? I bought a rather large bag at Petco so I expect I'll be making quite a few pincushions in the future!
